New team and new ideas at the Grand Hotel Portarlington

There is much excitement around the changing of the guard at the historic 133-year-old Grand Hotel, proudly positioned front and centre in Newcombe Street in Portarlington.

Already well regarded by the residents of Portarlington and the greater Bellarine, Paul Little of the Little Group took control of the grand dame in early December.

The acquisition complements the group’s Port Phillip Ferries service, which sails back and forth from Portarlington to Melbourne 365 days a year. The new team, headed by experienced hotel operators Franco Biasuzzo and Mark Henderson, have wasted no time in enhancing the current offering ahead of a major renovation slated for early 2021.

Changes to the food and beverage offering will now take advantage of the wonderful local products available right here on the Bellarine. Expect to see more local wines and not to mention farm fresh local produce coming out of the kitchen.

They are also very plesed to reinvigorate their Seniors Menu with the new offering commencing early February.

Enjoy two course lunch for $16.50 and three course at $18.50. They’re available for lunch and dinner, Monday to Thursday. Enjoy a meal in the warm and cosy bistro, or outside in their fresh courtyard area.
