All the fun of the Ocean Grove Apple Fair
OCEAN GROVE Primary School’s Apple Fair started the long weekend celebrations for hundreds of families, as thousands flocked to enjoy the fair’s festivities.
“It ran really smoothly; all the families had a great time and the kids loved it. Even though the weather wasn’t necessarily the best, it didn’t stop anyone,” teacher Holly Stewart said.
“There was lots of fun rides and great food and entertainment. It was a successful fundraiser for the school, with a few thousand at least through the gates.
“We had grade level activities where each grade prepared and organised their own activities which was really cool. It’s something that we will do again next year.”
Ms Stewart said Feed Me Bellarine picked up leftover food and the fair would focus on reducing waste even further next year.
“We had MP Libby Coker come down and draw the raffle which was really cool, we had a reptile room and inflatable soccer which was lots of fun and we did our bit to be environmentally friendly.
“We really just wanted to thank the community and volunteers who all came out to support the school. Without everyone getting behind us, the fair wouldn’t happen.”
