THOUSANDS of locals packed into Ocean Grove Park at the weekend for the town’s much loved annual event, Carols in the Park.

The event featured the Geelong Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Hayden Dinse, and Geelong Harmony Chorus.

Along with local Ocean Grove primary school children performing on stage, there was all the carols people loved, sung by leading local artists and special performances that surprised and delighted, with the region’s popular radio personality Mike Hyland as master of ceremonies.

Thanks to the support of the Ocean Grove Connected Communities, safe LED candles were again available. The Carols in the Park was made possible because of generous supporters and sponsors, including City of Greater Geelong, Ocean Grove Connected Communities and Ocean Grove Combined Churches, among many others.
