Ocean Grove crash leaves woman injured

A woman in her 60s has been taken to hospital after a crash in Ocean Grove on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to Bonnyvale Road at about 8.10am, where it is understood the woman had collided with a parked car.

Ambulance Victoria paramedics assessed and treated the driver at the scene before transporting her to University Hospital Geelong with upper-body injuries.

She was reported to be in a stable condition.

Fire Rescue Victoria crews were dispatched after several Triple Zero calls from the public reporting the crash.

“Firefighters arrived on scene to find two vehicles involved in a motor vehicle collision with one of the impacted vehicles involved in fire, and both vehicles involved required towing,” a spokesperson said.

Victoria Police was also on the scene assisting with traffic management and patient care.
