OCEAN Grove Hotel is welcoming back summer trade with a packed slate of live music events stretching to the end of January.

The pub’s live music season kicked off on the weekend with a performance from 10 High Fly, and continues when Chocolate Starfish hits its stage on December 29 and tribute act Bowie Golden Years perform the following week.

Upcoming outdoor events are among eight acts confirmed until January 26, with further line-up announcements to come.

Some of Ocean Grove’s traditional favourites who previously performed at the old Boatshed building are ready to entertain pub patrons this summer.

Hotel owner Andy McDonough said he was thrilled to welcome bands back for live music events.

“We have some fantastic artists paying this summer, along with live acoustic music every Saturday night and Sunday afternoon from now until the end of January. There’s plenty happening on the music side,” he said.

“The lead-up and planning of the music events is always exciting and great, they are fun nights to work and just enjoy the atmosphere.”

Meanwhile, the pub is also gearing up for a bumper summer as tourists and semi-permanent residents return to the coastal hotspot, with food and drinks set to flow in between concerts.

“Our outdoor spaces and ability to have very large numbers over summer makes us a unique destination,” Mr McDonough said.

“We are only a few minutes’ walk from the beach and you can enjoy live music, cold drinks and great food all outdoors with a very relaxed vibe.”
