Ocean Grove parkrun kicks off

ABOUT 250 runners and walkers rocked up for the launch of Ocean Grove parkrun at the weekend.

Ocean Grove put on idyllic weather on Saturday morning and everyone had a very enjoyable run or walk, some with dogs and some with strollers.

The volunteers who supported the parkrun possibly got the most out of the day judged by their enthusiasm and laughter, particularly the marshals.

Two trial runs were held on the two preceding Sundays, which attracted about 30 participants each day that showed up despite some not-so-pleasant weather.

Organisers say they were very grateful to them for helping prepare for the launch.
