HUNDREDS of keen Oishi-m customers descended on Torquay from all over Australia for Oishi-m’s famous Samples and Seconds Sale at the weekend.

The cult Torquay childrenswear brand’s owner Miyo Fallshaw said the sale, held at Torquay College, was very successful.

“Customers were queuing in the cold and rain from as early as 9pm the Friday night prior, which was 12 hours prior to doors opening!”

Ms Fallshaw said that among the shoppers were heavily pregnant ladies not wanting to miss out on the bargains, bringing their hospital bags ready to go.

“Customers travelled from as far as Adelaide and Tassie! Others visited from statewide, some booked accommodation in Torquay and explored local cafes and shops while in Torquay.”

“Sale attendees enjoyed a pumping soundtrack, heaters, extra special touches (flowers, scented sticks), friendly staff and streamlined processes, which made for an unforgettable sale experience.”

Ms Fallshaw said the sale had become an annual pilgrimage of loyal brand followers, and was an opportunity to meet other friends of the Oishi-m extended community.

“Hot coffees welcomed our customers, and gold coin donations were collected for Geelong Mums in exchange for Ikea shopping bags.”
