December 12, 2017 BY

THE Leopold Uniting Church Op Shop will host a plant and garden sale next week to raise money for a variety of charities.

Held on November 17 and Saturday November 18, the sale will offer trees, orchids, salvia, novelty pots, produce, toys, terrariums, herbs, books and hats.

Volunteer Marie-Louise said several pelagonium varieties would also be available at the sale, including Laras breed by world renown hybridist, Cliff Blackman.

“Cliff, along with several other pelagonium breeders from the Geelong area, developed a wide range of pelagoniums named after local suburbs, such as Lara Alladin, Corio Zac and Moolap Haze,” she said.

Money from the sale will go back into the church, along with charities Cottage by the Sea, Headspace, Anam Cara House Geelong, and Samaritan House.

The Leopold Uniting Church Op Shop is located on the corner of Bellarine Highway and Ash Road, Leopold.

The sale will be held on November 17 from 9.30am to 3pm, and November 18 from 9.30am to 1pm.
