Open day announces arrival
TUCKERS Torquay opened its doors to the community during a relaxed open day late last week.
Alyson Burchell of Tuckers said Thursday was an opportunity for people to come in, look around at the new space, meet the staff and enjoy great food in a relaxed environment.
“We wanted people to have a look at our beautiful facilities and new meeting room that we’re so proud of,” Ms Burchell said.
“It’s just an opportunity to have a cuppa, something to eat and meet us. We were aware a lot of our families, their point of reference was the Grovedale office, and with a growing number of people coming from the Surf Coast region – we just feel we want to position ourselves in a more convenient location for them and for the community, which is growing.
“We’re open five days a week from 10am until 4pm, you can call 24 hours and there will always be someone that answers.”
Ms Burchell said from pre-paid contracts to bereavement services, the Tuckers team were well equipped to help guide people through their time of loss.
“We’ve had people from all ages pop in today with different needs, some are relationships from the past and it’s nice that they feel they can come in and say hello to us seven or eight years later,” she said.
“The response to the new office has been fantastic, when they come through the doors and they see the desk and go beyond and see our beautiful arrangement room they realise it’s really special.”
