Peter Clark takes to the street

November 22, 2017 BY

Former executive general manager of the Herald and Weekly Times Peter Clark has joined local Geelong digital marketing agency Arthur St Digital as a director, in-line with his move from melbourne to Anglesea.

With more than 20 years’ experience in news, media and marketing, Peter’s sea-change comes after holding senior management positions in some of Australia’s top media organisations.

Peter said he had chosen Geelong as his place of work because of the region’s potential for growth in the future far exceeds its growth to date.

“Coupled with digital marketing’s foothold in an expanding online market, I’m excited about building a business in a vibrant environment with enormous future opportunities,” Peter said.

Arthur St Digital proved the perfect fit for both the business and Peter.

Founded in 2015 by matt Cowdell, the boutique agency is experiencing a period of substantial growth due to an increasing reputation and rising digital demands from local businesses.

matt describes the timing of Peter Clark’s move to Geelong and partnership with Arthur St Digital as “ideal”.

“To have someone of Peter’s experience and expertise with growing companies on a national scale come to Geelong and apply it to a local level through Arthur St is really exciting,” matt said.

After spending 10 years working across a range of media and marketing manager roles for News Limited and open Universities, Cowdell recognised the need for growing local businesses online as Geelong shifted away from its industrial roots – and Arthur St Digital was born.

“We are genuinely driven by delivering the best results for our clients while up-skilling their own digital capabilities,” matt said.

As a thriving start-up community, the partnership of Peter Clark and Arthur Street Digital is a positive step for Geelong’s prospering digital landscape.
