Pint-sized enthusiasts turn out to learn about brigade

THE Leopold CFA held an open day at the weekend to help locals learn about what the brigade does for their local community, and to help them prepare for summer and the coming fire season.
The event was a great opportunity to meet and chat to local firefighters and other CFA members, check out the station and the fire trucks, and ask questions about volunteering.
There were also lots of fun activities, such as a sausage sizzles, hose water squirting and more.
