Pop-ups wanted for summer foreshore entertainment

September 24, 2021 BY

Expressions of interest are being sought for providers wanting to supply pop-up entertainment on the Barwon Heads foreshore this summer.

Holiday entertainment on the foreshore has become a well-loved tradition in the popular tourist town and Barwon Coast is keen to see that continue in 2021/22.

Barwon Coast CEO Gary McPike said over the years families and visitors alike had been delighted by entertainment such as the carnival and, more recently, the travelling Wonderland Spiegeltent which had brought sophisticated and hilarious performances to the coast.

“We are looking for tenders from businesses who wish to provide entertainment to the local community and visitors for the summer holiday period,” Mr McPike said.

“An entertainment permit would allow for an entertainment provider to set up for the summer period in Lahey Square in Barwon Heads.

“This is a terrific spot right on the river in the heart of all the summer action for locals and visitors.”

Mr McPike said they were open to a diverse range of entertainment options.

“The evaluation criteria for the EOI will place a high value on providers who can supply quality entertainment to a broad demographic,” he said.

“It is also important that the service can be provided with minimal impacts on the amenity of the site”.

The EOI process is an open public tender process conducted through Barwon Coast’s Tenderlink Portal. Head to tenderlink.com/barwoncoast.

Tender responses will be accepted until 2 pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
