SPONSORS and prominent Bellarine residents wined and dined during an exclusive and intimate lunch recently to help support Portarlington Demons Football Netball Club.

More than 60 people attended the PDFNC TOP 25 Luncheon at the newly refurbished Portarlington Grand Hotel last Friday, where ex-Geelong and now-Carlton chief executive officer Brian Cook spoke about his time in football.

Senior coach Peter O’Connor also spoke about the club’s challenges during the past three years, including COVID and an injuries list, and Luke Maher was MC.

PDFNC Marketing and Sponsorship Director Darren Hellmann said the event was a “good day”, with attendees raving about the sensational food and venue.

Mr Hellmann said proceeds from the event would support the football club, and used to attract quality key position players or coaches to the Club for the 2023 season.

He said the club also released its new recruiting video during the lunch, and highlighted that it wasn’t just a function for blokes, with lots of women in attendance too.

The lunch included a sumptuous three-course meal and an open bar for the duration of the event.
