Portarlington to celebrate Australia Day

PORTARLINGTON will host their traditional Australia Day celebrations onThursday, January 26, running a free family-friendly event for the community to participate in.
To be held at the Portarlington Community Information Booth, the family-friendly event on Thursday will include a host of activities including a dog fashion parade, live music from the Newcombe Street Rotunda and Senior Citizens Centre and much more.
The local Portarlington Lions Club will be hosting a sausage sizzle, while other community groups are thrilled to be hosting displays of their own.
The community are also encouraged to take part in a social bowls competition, which will run at the Portarlington Bowls Club on the day.
Festivities will run between 10am and 3pm.
First aid, seating and viewing areas and toilets will be available on the day for attendees.
