PRESTIGE Jayco has officially opened its new sales, administration and service centre in Newcomb, marking a major expansion for the long-standing caravan dealership.

The state-of-the-art facility includes two new workshops and 22 work bay areas, doubling the site’s capacity to service caravans and motorhomes.

The expansion is expected to create more than a dozen new jobs, with nine workers already employed.

With the increased servicing capacity, waiting times for caravan owners will be cut from around three months to just a few weeks, helping customers get back on the road sooner.

Geelong MP Christine Couzens joined the Spence family, who own the Newcomb dealership, at their site on the Bellarine Highway today to help officially open the centre.

“From sales to servicing and repairs, customers can enjoy a raft of services under one roof at Geelong’s long-standing Prestige Jacyo Newcomb site,” Ms Cozens said.

The expansion builds on an earlier investment from the Victorian government which supported the construction of a pre-delivery and service workshop, completed in December 2023

Prestige Jayco founder and owner John Spence thanked the Victorian government for its support to build the new workshop and parts centre.

“The long-term benefits from this project will enable Prestige Jayco to significantly improve customer service,” he said.

Prestige Jayco is one of Victoria’s largest motorhome and caravan dealerships. It sells, repairs and services more than 1,500 caravans and motorhomes each year, a number expected to grow with the opening of the new facility.

Acting Minister for Regional Development Danny Pearson welcomed the opening on the new facility, saying it highlighted the strength of the caravan industry in regional Victoria.

“Caravans are a favourite for travellers across regional Victoria—so it’s great to see a local business, like Prestige Jayco, continue to grow and support more jobs in such an exciting industry,” he said.
