February 6, 2019 BY

The Learn to Sail Program at Indented Head Yacht Club focuses on teaching sailing in a fun way and caters for beginners up to experienced sailors.

THE 10th annual Wreck2Reef Open Water Swim this weekend will help raise much-needed funds for the Indented Head Yacht Club and the sailing program it offers.

The Learn to Sail Program for kids, families and adults runs on most Saturdays during school term, between the months of October and March.

The club says the Learn to Sail Program is the most affordable learn to sail program in the region and attracts sailors from the Bellarine and beyond.

The program focuses on teaching sailing in a fun way and caters for beginners up to experienced sailors.

Even when there is no wind or too much of it, the program provides other fun activities for the children to do on the water.

All boats and safety equipment are provided as part of membership to the program.

The club also runs regular racing days to cater for experienced sailors and has a strong volunteer and social scene.

If you are interested in joining the club or the Learn to Sail Program, check out the club’s website or phone Ned on 0429 142 228 or Paul on 0416 756 047.

The Wreck2Reef Open Water Swim is on this Sunday, February 10 and includes a 500 metre novice swim, 1.2km open swim and 2.5km swim.
