Pt Lonsdale retreat cleans up at annual spa and wellness awards

POINT Lonsdale business Lon Retreat & Spa now has the prestigious moniker of Australasia’s best spa after a win at this year’s Spa and Wellness Awards.

Lon Retreat & Spa had a busy night at the ceremony held in Byron Bay last month, being nominated for and receiving three awards: Best Spa in Australasia, Most Unique Property and Best Repurposed Hotel.

Owner Claire Gemes and spa manager Jade Ogilvie attended the event to accept the awards on behalf of the business.

“All the team at Lon Retreat are hugely grateful for this recognition and for our beautiful team led by our spa manager, Jade Ogilvie,” Ms Gemes said.

“We work in such an incredible and valuable industry and it is an honour to be recognised by our peers and from those that have inspired us along the way.

The annual Spa and Wellness Awards recognise people and businesses making large strides in the spa, health, beauty, and wellness tourism space, where they are honoured for the work they do, and the products and services they provide.

Lon Spa is a small and exclusive space nestled away in the Borough of Queenscliffe, providing guests with three unique treatment rooms.

These include mineral water fed soaking tubs, steam rooms and breathtaking views to the ocean, lighthouse and coastal landscape.

Water therapy at the retreat is sourced from natural mineral springs running beneath the farm.

The farm has also been held within the family for more than 150 years.
