Pupils perform Peter Pan to a packed house

December 20, 2017 BY

QUEENSCLIFF Primary School pupils were proud to present their whole school production of Peter Pan on Friday.

All pupils at the school were challenged to be involved in the production and more than 200 tickets were sold, filling the Queenscliff Town Hall.

Izzy Honey-Wilson, who played Peter Pan, said learning how to sing in tune, and taking lessons with Ms Petrie and during school rehearsals, was a skill she learnt as part of the performing arts program.

Sol Bowtell played an outstanding performance as Captain Hook and said he thoroughly enjoyed stepping out of his comfort zone.

Winnie Johnston, who played Wendy’s mother, and Bailey Drummond, who played Wendy, both agreed that all schools should embrace the arts.

“Our specialist subjects at school are the best part of being at Queenscliff Primary School,” the duo said.

“We do so many fun subjects and our teachers really love teaching their subjects – it makes school really enjoyable.”

Queenscliff Primary School has experienced significant enrolment growth during the past year and prides itself on offering a rigorous, purposeful and engaging program that builds upon the skills and capabilities of all students.

Enrolments are available for 2018 and can be discussed further by phoning the principal on 5258 1696.
