THE first tickets for this year’s Queenscliff Music Festival (QMF) go on sale next week and those heading to Queenscliff later this year will have even more entertainment to enjoy.

Organisers have added a fourth day to its usual three-day program.

The Thursday night program on November 23 will operate exclusively in existing venues throughout Queenscliff outside of the main festival arena and ahead of the November 24-26 main event.

Venues locked in to host gigs so far are Queenscliff Brewhouse, Queenscliff Town Hall and Queenscliff Uniting Church, with more venues to be confirmed in coming months.

The music program will operate between about 5pm to 10pm on the Thursday night and feature a diverse bunch of artists, with organisers estimating about 18 performances will take place.

The full Thursday program and lineup will be released in the coming months.

Thursday tickets will be sold seperately to the other QMF tickets at the time of purchase, so people intending to come to for all four days of QMF should buy the usual 3-Day ticket plus a Thursday ticket.

Although QMF ticket holders can decide to come back at a later time to buy a Thursday ticket separately, organisers have warned Thursday tickets will be “extremely limited, so buy early to avoid missing out”.

Early bird sales for all tickets to the festival will go on sale on Thursday, March 16.

The initial Subscriber Only ticket allocation will go on sale to all QMF Subscribers.

Once the Subscriber pre-sale allocation is exhausted, Early Bird tickets will go on sale to the general public. “There will only be a limited number of 1,000 Subscriber Only Early Bird Tickets, and in previous years this has sold out within hours, so make sure you get in quick!” organisers stated.

QMF typically sells out well in advance and sometimes before the final lineup of artists is revealed, with all tickets for the 2022 festival sold by October 5 – nearly two full months before the November 25-27 event.
