Volunteer applications open for QMF
IF YOU’VE ever wanted to join the “Q-Crew”, now is your chance, with applications to be a volunteer at this year’s Queenscliff Music Festival (QMF) now open.
The annual music festival is run and organised mostly by volunteers, with a team of about 40 people taking on the key volunteer management roles and another 450 volunteers who work during the event itself.
“We value the outstanding contribution of our volunteers, and each year we are overwhelmed by your collective interest, enthusiasm and experience,” the QMF website states.
Volunteers donate valuable time, skills and experience throughout the year and over the festival weekend.
The majority of Q-Crew volunteers will be assigned a total of about 8-10 hours of work for this year’s festival.
In exchange for their efforts, volunteers receive a 3 Day Volunteer Wristband, entitling them to entry to all three days of the 2023 QMF, which will run from November 24-26.
Volunteers will also receive an exclusive 2023 Festival Q-Crew T-shirt to wear during their volunteer shift.
All volunteers will be placed in a team.
“We will be as accommodating as possible to suit your preferences however it will come down to what is available and where we need people to volunteer,” QMF’s website states.
Volunteer roles include artist accommodation, bars, campground, external venues, green team, kids’ quarter, merchandise, and ticket exchange.
Applicants to become volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and are required to pay a registration fee of $20 for insurance and
administration. The $20 fee is non-refundable, unless QMF is unable to offer a volunteer position.
Standard QMF ticket terms and conditions also apply.
