Queenscliff sand sculpture comp digs into 20 years

December 22, 2017 BY

QUEENSCLIFFE Neighbourhood House volunteers will host their 20th Sand Sculpture Contest next month.

Locals and visitors are invited to take part in the competition, which will be located on Queenscliff beach, in front of the Neighbourhood House, on January 7 between 10am and noon.

Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place getters in age categories for singles and groups, adults and children.

Back at the Neighbourhood House, a Second Hand Book Sale of great holiday reads will be on offer throughout the morning.

Stay for lunch and try the delicious barbecue run by the town’s Men’s Shed and enjoy listening to the Sea of Ukes perform.

Please let the Neighbourhood House know if you can give volunteers a hand with pegging the beach, marshalling the troops or selling the books.

The cost to enter the sand sculpture competition is $5 for singles and $10 for a group.
