Queenscliff Town Hall lock in star-studded summer lineup
MUSIC fans are sure to be rejoicing following the Queenscliff Town Hall locking in a bumper schedule of gigs for the first quarter of 2025.
The venue’s summer of sounds starts on February 5 with much-loved Australian solo artist Ash Grunwald Known for his electrifying shows, Grunwald has inspired a generation to hit the road and surf by day and jam by night.
A Queenscliff Music Festival favourite, Grunwald brings a high energy, vibrant live performance with plenty of guitar riffs and foot-stomping blues.
February 15 will mark Sarah Blasko’s first appearance at Queenscliff Town Hall Blasko will be sharing all her popular hits, as well as those from her seventh album I Just Need to Conquer This Mountain.
Her newest material is full of late-night reflections on goodbyes, grief and new beginnings.
Blasko has had six ARIA top 10 hits, is a three-time ARIA Award winner and is an artist audiences should not miss.
Weeks later, multiple Grammy nominee and Blues Music Awards winner Ruthie Foster will roll into town.
Foster will take to the stage of March 7 and showcase her credentials as one of the soul genre’s shining stars.
Born into a family steeped in gospel tradition, the American artist’s earliest influences came from her mother, grandmother and artists such as Gospel Keynotes and the Blind Boys of Alabama.
After years of shying from the spotlight in the gospel scene, Foster stood as a young woman and recognised her power as a songwriter, a musician and as a captivating singer.
Foster plans on sharing her new album Mileage with audiences, with its songs an ode to the power of authenticity and resilience in music.
Queenscliff Town Hall promoter Claire Strickland said the trio of gigs would breathe plenty of life into the borough.
“We’ve got a really great combination of artists coming to us next year.
“Town Hall shows are really beneficial to the Queenscliff and Bellarine.
“People will enjoy the restaurants, stay in accommodation and enjoy what we’ve got to offer down here. It’ll certainly help with the local economy.
“Overall, its super exciting and we encourage everyone to come and check it out.”
Strickland said Katey Noonan was among the acts coming to the Queenscliff Town Hall later in the year.
