AN AUSTRALIAN Olympian will speak at this year’s Give Where You Live Foundation’s Give Geelong Breakfast event as the keynote speaker.
Dr Rachael Gunn, who competes professionally under the name Raygun, will join this year’s breakfast as she shares some of her experiences.
The breakdancer and academic competed at the Oceania and World Breaking Championships before earning a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where her routine drew international media attention.
“Raygun” will speak about resilience in the face of intense public scrutiny while offering insights into the impact of online behaviour.
Give Where You Live chief executive officer Zac Lewis said the foundation was looking forward to hosting Raygun and encouraged the community’s support.

“The Give Where You Live Foundation exists to create a fairer community and drive positive social change,” he said.
“Raygun’s message of self-expression, embracing individuality and pushing boundaries aligns with our broader efforts to support inclusion and resilience in our community.
“We value the power of storytelling – especially stories of resilience and overcoming challenges – because they help spark conversations, increase empathy and inspire change.”
The annual Give Geelong Breakfast event will raise money for the Give Where You Live Foundation and its work in creating a fairer community.
The event is one of the foundation’s longest running fundraisers, going towards supporting people in the community facing long-term unemployment, homelessness and food insecurity.
“Your support in the Give Geelong Breakfast during the Give Geelong Appeal will have an impact in your community,” Mr Lewis said.
Tickets for the March 21 event are on sale now and available from givewhereyoulive.com.au/events.
