ANGLESEA has defeated Ocean Grove to take out this year’s 2018 A Grade Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association final 9/221(dec) to Ocean Grove’s 160.

Sitting on top of the ladder, Anglesea finished a dominant season that saw them record eight wins, two draws and a loss to take the cup in the first innings at Ron Evans Oval.

Anglesea Captain Ned Cooper scored 127 for the premiers, supported by Brett Venables who scored 31.

Cooper was awarded Man of the Match.

In the Geelong Cricket Association Division 2 Turfs 1sts, Bell Park was awarded the premiership after their match against Torquay ended in a draw. Heavy rain saturated the ground for much of the first day’s play.

Bell Park took the premiership on the second day after they only had to draw to win.
