Rosco spreads Christmas cheer at Arcare

ROSCO, a beautiful Scottish pony, got everyone into the festive spirit recently by spreading a little bit of Christmas cheer at Arcare Point Lonsdale.

Dressed up in red and green and donning reindeer ears, the horse and his cart drew quite a crowd.

It was a real community event with the support from the local Mermaids – a group of ladies who swim in the ocean together every day.

The ladies banded together to raise money for costumes and lolly bags on the day.

The Mermaids are familiar faces in the community as the generous ladies also donate their time to help with the Cycling Without Age bike program.

Rosco was the centre of attention for the babies and toddlers group who were invited to join in on the fun.

They enjoyed riding around in the cart and, of course, the lolly bags.
