October 29, 2020 BY

The VRCA says there could be as many as three times the usual number of grain ships at the Port of Geelong this season.

THE Rotary Club of Ocean Grove has announced its summer markets are back, and will return this Sunday (November 1).

It will be held at the usual site at Ocean Grove Park, 81 The Avenue, Ocean Grove. from 9 am-1pm.

The summer market usually begins on the first Sunday in October, but the monthly events were postponed due to coronavirus restrictions.

Once it was announced that the market was back, there was an instant take-up of the regular stall holders with everyone very excited to be at last going ahead.

Market manager Adrian Schmidt said about 80 sites had already been occupied so far.

He said a “rough summary” of the many, many types of stalls on offer would include cheese, locally made jams, cakes, relishes, plants, honey, general fashion, jewellery, Christmas stalls, bric-a-brac, art and craft, baby and kids clothing, toys, books, coffee and hot food and craft beer.

The markets are a major fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Ocean Grove.
