NOMINATIONS are about to close for the Ocean Grove Rotary Community Service Awards, which recognise fantastic and hard-working individuals and businesses on the Bellarine.

Set to close on Monday, May 1, the community service awards will honour locals living in Queenscliff, Point Lonsdale, Barwon Heads, Marcus Hill, Wallington and Ocean Grove across four categories including Apprentice/Trainee of the Year, Small Business Excellence, Team Member of the Year and Volunteer Organisation of the Year.

The Ocean Grove Rotary Club has hosted the awards since 2014 and say they still take great pride in awarding recipients for their dedication, hard work and spirit in making the Bellarine a better place for all.

“We are delighted to continue being able to present these awards which are sponsored by the fantastic businesses and groups within our area,” Ocean Grove Rotary Club president Peter Cowburn said.

“We are proud to support and encourage businesses and people who contribute to the community in the Southern Bellarine and look forward to seeing the entries this year once again.”

This year, the awards will be supported by primary sponsor Bendigo Bank and other sponsors Barwon Heads Hotel; Chopped and Bobbed; Parade Dental; Ocean Grove Business Association; Barwon Heads IGA; Point Lonsdale Guest House; DC Roofing; Helloworld Waurn Ponds; Ryman Healthcare; Barwon Heads Pharmacy and BT Café.
