Saint Ignatius students win sporting glory

Four Saint Ignatius College Geelong Netball teams participated in the GISSA (Geelong Independent Schools Sports Association) competition earlier this month.

LOCAL Saint Ignatius College students have been making waves in the surf and on the netball court.

The Drysdale school’s girls surf team took out the Independent Schools Surfing Teams titles run by Surfing Victoria at Jan Juc on May 7. The mixed team also came third.

Meanwhile, four Saint Ignatius College Geelong Netball teams participated in the GISSA (Geelong Independent Schools Sports Association) competition at the Geelong Basketball and Netball Stadium on the same day.

The Year 11 and 12 (A) team won their division, as did the Year 9 and 10 (B) team.
