Two schools close due to confirmed COVID-19 case
DRYSDALE and Grovedale West primary schools will close for 24 hours as a precautionary measure after the schools each confirmed a reported case of coronavirus.
The schools will close today (Monday July 20) to all staff, students and members of the community, until Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) advises otherwise.The confirmed case has been reported to the Department of Education and Training (DET), and the DHHS is investigating the case.
Drysdale Primary School principal Phil Dunlop-Moore acknowledged on the school’s Facebook page that this was a time of “heightened anxiety” for everyone and encouraged people to contact DET with questions as the department was best to give advice.
Mr Dunlop-Moore thanked the community for their support.
