March 27, 2019 BY

Sheree Marris, noted author, marine biologist, and environmental ambassador, has won numerous accolades, including three Young Australian of the Year awards.

ONE of Australia’s most passionate and dynamic marine ambassadors will speak at Bellarine Community Council’s coming public meeting this weekend.

Sheree Marris, noted author, marine biologist, and environmental ambassador, is collaborating with the City of Greater Geelong to promote the idea of an underwater sculpture garden at “The Dell”, next to the site of the historical Clifton Springs spa.

Under the auspices of the Bellarine Community Council, Ms Marris will be presenting her stunning underwater video of Port Phillip Bay, and discussing the concept of the sculpture.

Her books and films on the underwater environment have won her a host of awards and gained her acknowledged expert status in the field. Her numerous accolades include three Young Australian of the Year awards.

She has just finished her fifth book, Melbourne Down Under, a stunning photographic book that reveals Melbourne’s best kept secret – a marine environment more diverse and colourful than any tropical reef.

Sheree will also present information on her publications and projects including “KamaSEAtra – Secrets of Sex in the Sea”.

The public meeting is at Clifton Springs Bowling Club on Saturday, March 30 from 9.30am and 11am.

Attendance is free, and open to all. To ensure your seat, RSVP before March 27 to [email protected].
