Skills on show as kids enjoy barbecue

SOME amazing skate and scooter skills were on display as Neighbourhood Watch Leopold volunteers cooked a barbecue for young locals on the weekend.
NHW volunteers held their monthly free barbecue for under 18s at Leopold Skate Park on Saturday. Bellarine Police officer Sergeant Shane Connolly and Leading Senior Constable Laurie Taylor dropped in to say hello to the kids.
Bellarine MP Lisa Neville, followed by Liberal candidate for Bellarine Brian McKiterick, spoke with the kids and received great feedback from them about what they want to see improved at their park.
The barbecue was a friendly day that encouraged great social behaviour, keeping a clean park and respecting other people.
