Some events to go ahead on January 26

THE City of Greater Geelong will continue to not officially celebrate Australia Day on January 26.

However, there will still be some events on the day, including the Oneday Australia Day Session in Curlewis.

Oneday Estate is promoting the free event as a day filled with good vibes, delicious food and live music.

Soak up the sun and enjoy the Oneday Estate surroundings and take in a display from the Bellarine Vintage Machinery Group that will take you on a journey through the past.

David van Elst, the piano man, will peform live music.

The Oneday Australia Day Session will be held at Oneday Estate Winery, 45 Curlewis Road, Curlewis, from 12 noon-5pm.

In Queenscliff, the Point Lonsdale/Queenscliff branch of the Liberal Party will host its annual Australia Day breakfast at the Queenscliff Point Lonsdale Yacht Club.

Beginning at 8am for an 8.30am start, attendees will enjoy a full cooked barbecue breakfast.

The guest speaker will be John Roskam, senior fellow at the Centre for the Australian Way of Life at the Institute of Public Affairs.

“Join us for a morning filled with good food, scenic views, and engaging discussions as we come together to honour our shared Australian spirit,” organisers stated.

The Queenscliff Point Lonsdale Yacht Club is at 90 King Street, Queenscliff.
