April 10, 2019 BY

Christy Clancy is a local artist who has been with the Barwon Heads Art Group for the past three years, and she enjoys painting flowers and loves the colours of a sunset.

THE Barwon Heads Art Group will this year donate some proceeds from its annual Easter Art Show to the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal.

Convenor Dorothy Van Dorp said 10 per cent from all sales on Good Friday would be donated to the appeal.

“We would like to let our clients know that by purchasing a painting that they will not only be taking it home, but also helping the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal,” Ms Van Dorp said.

The Easter Art Show will run for four days over the Easter period, from April 19 to April 22.

Well-known local artist John Moore will be the resident artist and demonstrate his artistic skills over the weekend.

Christy Clancy, a local artist who has been with the art group for the past three years, will also have her work on show.

Ms Clancy’s talent as an artist has blossomed and she enjoys painting flowers and loves the colours of a sunset. She is also now thinking about abstracts painting. The Easter Art Show is at Barwon Heads Senior Citizens Centre, Clifford Parade, Barwon Heads, from 10am to 4pm each day.

Entry is free.
