Spectacular year ahead for Potato Shed

The Bellarine’s favourite shed, the Potato Shed, is hosting a free evening of entertaining to launch their 2019 program, join in and celebrate what’s expected to be another big year.

ON DECEMBER 5, the Potato Shed will launch their 2019 Season Program promising to provide the Bellarine once again with the best theatre, music, cabaret and comedy acts on offer.

Guests are invited to join in their free celebrations from 5.30pm as the team celebrate another jampacked program filled with world-class acts.

The evenings special guests include James Welsby as his alter-ego Valerie Hex, and the talented musical gents Dave Cosma and Damon Smith.

Long-time Potato Shed supporter Colin Mockett will also bring along a couple of the Hip Cats and let you know what’s in store for the 2019 Morning Show Time series.

A bevy of surprise special guests will also make their respective appearances throughout the night. City of Greater Geelong mayor Bruce Harwood said the shed was a fantastic drawcard for both entertainers and art lovers.

“The Potato Shed is a popular and vibrant arts complex located on the Bellarine. The multipurpose nature of the venue makes it a significant place for cultural, social and educational development,” Cr Harwood said.

“I encourage everybody to experience at least one of these great shows which will inspire, challenge and entertain.”

City of Greater Geelong’s Arts and Culture manager Kaz Paton said the venue would once again deliver an impressive program.

“I am delighted that the Potato Shed continues to offer our region a strong and vibrant artistic programme, fostering a sense of well-being and connection to our local community with something for everyone to embrace,” she said.
