Go online and be spooked
TUNE into Potato Shed TV online on Halloween when the Potato Shed presents the inaugural COVID-19 safe Spookfest.
Presented in partnership with local production company Bellarine AV, Spookfest will provide just the right amount of kooky-spookiness to get you into the Halloween spirit this year.
Like its predecessor, Family Fun Day, Spookfest continues the magical tradition of involving the local community, albeit virtually, in an event that celebrates in all its imagination the arts on the Bellarine and in particular, the Potato Shed.
Richard Vega (Paris Underground) will perform spell-binding magic tricks.
Be dazzled by Zoltar the fortune teller – do you dare to hear your future?
Chantelle and Benji from Fresh Creative Entertainment will mesmerize with dances designed to entice you into the spooky world that is Spookfest.
Spookfest will showcase the many talented students and admired artists who will be there to amaze and surprise children and families at this special newly created Potato Shed event.
“Even through the immense challenges that our local arts community is facing because of COVID-19, we are seeing some incredibly clever and creative re-imagining of its programs, transforming large-scale live events to equally large-scale viewing of virtual experiences,” City of Greater Geelong chief executive officer Martin Cutter said.
“Everyone is invited to get into the spirit of Halloween by tuning into Potato Shed TV to enjoy Spookfest.”
Spookfest will be streamed on the Potato Shed TV channel on Youtube on Saturday, October 31 from 6pm. Head to youtube.com.
