Spring into summer with Torq F1t Training Solutions’ new challenge

September 13, 2019 BY

Torq F1t’s six-week challenge “Spring into summer” is about being the best version of yourself. It’s about feeling great, feeling strong and as a result, looking better than ever.

It’s not about big prizes or free trips. We invest our time in you and change your life for the better.

Challenge duration: four classes per week for six weeks. Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6am and 5.30pm. The Saturday class will run from 8.30am.

Nutrition seminar with Elly McLean

To kick off the challenge, we will start with an interactive 60-minute seminar brought to you by nutritionist Elly McLean. Participants will learn the benefits of just eating real food (JERF), lower carbohydrate healthy fats (LCHF) and metabolic health.

Along the way, Elly will provide practical advice on meal planning while debunking some age-old nutrition myths.

Torq F1t’s six-week challenge “Spring into summer” consists of four classes per week.

Topics will include:
· Why real food is an essential component of your current and long-term health strategy
· How to build your plate and tailor your menu to achieve nutrient density and your optimal body composition
· The importance of nutrient timing to support your goals and training output
· How to make LCHF work for you and your family for the long term
· The importance of pathology and what to look for
· Lifestyle strategies to extend your metabolic health
· Why metabolic health is key to your health and wellness goals

Elly says it’s time to shed light on the widely shared beliefs about the food pyramid, meal timing and meal composition by optimising your diet: from fat loss and exercise performance, to achieving ultimate health.

This event is suitable for anyone who is looking to optimise their health and wellness through nutrition and lifestyle. The seminar will be held on Friday September 20. Cost is $299. The seminar is free for existing Torq F1t members.

In other news, Torq F1t founder Erin Rowell has announced her latest venture, Surf Coast Pilates. Erin discovered her love for athleticism in her hometown of Torquay after learning to race motorcycles in 1999.

Torq F1t is located on Baines Crescent, Torquay.

Over the next decade, Erin turned professional and became the world’s first woman to qualify for a Men’s AMA Supermoto Championship event. Throughout her racing career, Erin also modelled full-time internationally.

Both pursuits led her to her success as a sports TV host. But things changed when Erin sustained a life-altering injury to her leg, one that nearly resulted in amputation. Broken and defeated, Erin didn’t walk for two years.

During her quest to find a form of exercise and rehabilitation, she discovered pilates. Amazed with the significant physical and mental benefits, Erin decided to take the next step and become trained in Stott Pilates.

Determined to help others, Erin is now opening a purpose-built pilates studio in Torquay with the goal of creating a community where members feel welcomed and supported. Erin takes pride in being able to motivate, inspire and educate people about the benefits of exercising and living a healthy lifestyle.

Erin believes that with patience and persistence, anyone can achieve realistic goals to create a better quality of life. Erin particularly enjoys working with clients who are recovering from injuries just like she did.

“Surf Coast Pilates was born out of a desire to create a beautiful studio space, specialising inthe Stott Pilates method, delivering profound body results while restoring the mind regardless of age, gender or fitness level,” she said.

Surf Coast Pilates is now open.
