Star launches new studio

K rock’s Breakfast Show Fresh Daily hosts Tom and Sarah Maree are pictured with international pop sensation Bebe Rexha, who performed live at the Geelong Broadcasters’ new studio launch on July18.

IN A massive coup for Geelong, k rock sourced international pop superstar Bebe Rexha to launch the Geelong Broadcasters’ new hi-tech studios on July 18.

The American superstar performed an intimate live gig as part of the stations new “Live Sessions” in front of hundreds of staff, guests and various VIPs at their new Moorabool Street locale.

Other performers at the launch party included father Cam and son Taylor Henderson (best known for his success on Australia’s Got Talent), Nathaniel Willemse and Ocean Grove’s Sam Hanson.

Geelong mayor Bruce Harwood officially opened the studios presenting a plaque to Janet and Alison Cameron from parent company Grant Broadcasters.

The launch party celebrated the new residence for k rock 95.5, Bay 93.9, Kix Country and What’s On Magazine.

The performance was one of only a handful of public shows Bebe Rexha did while in Australia for her latest promotional visit.

The new studios are located on the first floor of Geelong Broadcasters’ Moorabool Street building and feature state-of-the-art digital broadcasting equipment and news facility.

K rock content director James Speed said they were thrilled to secure such a massive international act to play in Geelong at their new studios.
