Bellarine vineyard Jack Rabbit, with the community’s help, is supporting Feed Me Bellarine during the latest Victorian lockdown.

On Monday this week, The Sharp Group director Lyndsay Sharp announced her winery would donate $50 to the food sharing program for every dozen Jack Rabbit wines purchased online (or $25 for each half dozen).

The initiative raised more than $1,000 in 24 hours, and has been extended until 11.59pm tomorrow (Friday, July 23).

Feed Me Bellarine is cooking more than 4,100 meals a week and delivering food relief to more than 700 vulnerable families.

Their volunteers are running a seven-day-a-week program, and every $50 or $25 will go a long way towards helping those in crisis and struggling to put food on the table.

“At least we can still put food on the table – others can’t,” Ms Sharp said.

“It’s a good way for us to do something and to stop any hint of feeling crap about this third lockdown of the year.”

“It’s not much but it will help them (Feed Me Bellarine) a little bit.”
