Surf Coast FC juniors taste Victory

A PAIR of youngsters from Surf Coast FC had their chance on the big stage as part of Saturday’s A-League game at GMHBA Stadium.

Benson Flanagan and Billy Reid featured in the juniors game held in the half-time break in the fixture between Melbourne Victory and Central Coast Mariners.

Victory had most of the chances in the first half but neither side was able to score.

After the long break, Besart Berisha scored in the 46th minute to put Victory ahead, but the Mariners’ substitution of Lachlan Wells and Blake Powell paid off almost instantly in the 70th minute when the pair combined to level the scores.
