Swimmers get dangerous at Cosy Corner

ONE of Victoria’s biggest and most popular ocean swims, the Danger Swim Series, drew more than 1,000 competitors on Saturday morning.

The event, held in the waters of Cosy Corner, gave swimmers a course largely protected by Point Danger over three distinct races: 500 metres, 1 kilometre and 2.5 kilometres.

The flagship Danger 1,000 had a field of 736 swimmers, while the longer More Dangerous 2,500 had 243 and the shorter Danger 500 had 88. Danger 500 Open results: Men – Kelly Hughes (1st), Matthew Woods (2nd), Mark Cooper (3rd)
