SATURDAY March 24, tennis grand final day and talk about bad timing – close to 20ml of rain falls – right on starting time too, destroying Tennis Geelong’s junior grand final matches!

Junior players were then instructed to play matches whenever and wherever they were able to find courts and team members available and to have all the results into Tennis Geelong’s recorder prior to Good Friday.

No weather problems for senior players later on, with blue skies poking through the clouds just prior to the beginning of the grand final matches at 1.30pm.

Juniors fielded 23 grades in the 2017/18 summer competition, while 14 grades of senior players battled it out for the ultimate prize in local tennis – the premiership!

All the grand final results, scores and ranked players are on the Tennis Geelong website, with the entire season’s details, the best-performed junior players and more.

Winter competition? Not all that far away, starting on Saturday April 28. Bring it on!
