THE hunt begins in a new prime-time reality TV series starting tomorrow (Sunday, July 17) on Channel 10, and viewers could spot some “Fugitives” on the run through Geelong in the very first episodes.

Hunted is an epic game of cat and mouse, which will see 18 ordinary Aussies attempt to go off the grid and go on the run from a team of expert “Hunters”.

These Fugitives will have to evade capture for 21 days, but with decades of experience and some of the country’s best working to track down their every move, this will be no easy feat.

If the Fugitives are able to make it to a final extraction point and outsmart the Hunters, they’ll win a share of the $100,000 prize.

Eagle-eyed viewers on Sunday and Monday, July 18 may spy some beautiful aerials and local highlights of Geelong on their screens.

Hunted – the Australian version of the 2015 British series – was filmed entirely in Victoria and will be aired nationally at 7.30pm.

“We’re all about doing things differently at Visit Victoria, so as soon as we heard the premise of this exciting new format, we wanted to be part of it – to support the state through its recovery and encourage Australians to return,” chief executive officer of production partner Visit Victoria Brendan McClements said.
