The Point awarded with statewide honours
The Point in Point Lonsdale has racked up another major statewide accolade for its urban innovation and excellence.
Land developer Moremac Property Group was awarded with Residential Sub-Division of the Year for The Point development at the 2024 UDIA Victoria Awards.
The UDIA Awards annually highlight quality and innovation across the urban development sector.
Acquired by Moremac in 2013, The Point has more than 1,500 people calling it home.
Comprising architecturally designed homes, sustainability solutions and indigenous landscaping, the development describes itself as celebrating the true character of Point Lonsdale.
Moremac sales and marketing manager Lachlan Moore said the accolade was a welcome achievement for the Moremac team.
“The Point development is an excellent representation of what we’re capable of as a developer.
“Where others may have seen too many obstacles to develop, we saw a great opportunity to create a thriving community, with a sophisticated waterway system that fits seamlessly with the coastal feel of Point Lonsdale.
“Congratulations to our team who have played a role in the successful development of The Point, the recognition from the UDIA is thoroughly deserved.”
The Point’s website describes the development as a place where residents can “experience a serene coastal lifestyle” and “encounter a sense of belonging”.
“With a visionary design highlighting the best of its natural landscape, The Point promotes harmony with the environment.
“Our commitment to sustainability has been recognised with Victoria’s highest environmental accreditation.”
