The search is on for Port Phillip ‘Bay Stars’

July 11, 2018 BY

Streamline Media director Jarrod Boord is looking for children aged between 6 and 13 years to submit a short video telling they why they love Port Phillip.

STREAMLINE Media is on the search for young budding actors who have a love for and want to protect their bay.

As part of the ‘Connecting your Bay’ Project, the award-winning production company is searching for four “Bay Stars” to feature in their suite of educational short films that will be distributed throughout Victorian schools and the wider Port Phillip Bay community.

The films will document the Bay’s ecological assets and identify management priority areas, as well as highlight the important roles environmental groups and the broader community can play in safeguarding the bay’s future.

Streamline Media director Jarrod Boord said the films produced in partnership with numerous organisations would engage, inform and empower the Bay community to become actively involved at a grass roots level to build stronger connections and greater awareness and appreciation of the bay.

Children aged between 6 and 13 years are invited to submit a short 30 second or less video telling they why they love Port Phillip Bay and showcasing their natural inner ‘stardom’.

Production manager Leia Howes said the initiative was a great opportunity for enthusiastic youngsters to play an important role in protecting their bay into the future and to work with an award-winning production company.

The four lucky Bay Stars will also receive a snorkel set to continue their appreciation and exploration of the Bay’s incredible biodiversity.

The top 10 entries will all receive a Bay Star Eco Pack.

Submissions must be sent to Leia Howes at [email protected] by August 15. Check out Streamline Media Australia on Facebook for more information.
