COMBINING for an intersection of fine art and breathtaking wines, Austin’s Wines, Boom Gallery Geelong and Melbourne foodies Nama Please are set to collaborate on the night of nights.

Tonight (June 17), Austin’s Wines will host a curated wine and art launch at their vineyard which will showcase the region’s best wines in collaboration with select artists from the Boom Gallery.

The night will not only showcase fantastic artwork and wine but will include Melbourne popular foodies Nama Please who will be serving up a roaming cocktail style menu on the night consisting of fresh and local produce.

Geoff and Raff from Nama Please recently spent the month of May in the Yarra Valley devoting their days to milking caviar from salmon for Yarra Valley Caviar.

Some of this will be showcased in their residency at Austin’s.

Business development manager and events at Austin’s Wines, Liz Gant, can not wait for the event and is looking forward to showcasing Austin’s new wine collection with some of the region’s best artists on show.

“We can’t wait for what is going to be an amazing night of wine, food and of course amazing artwork.

“On the night, our first artist/wine release includes labels by the uber talented Shane Drinkwater, our riesling fan who is often inspired by the way in which farming creates line and texture in a landscape and how this is perceived from above.

“For our shiraz, we have commissioned Jasmine Mansbridge who shares our passion for red wine and the techniques used in the process of making wine.

“Our ‘Off-Dry’ Riesling and ‘Concrete Egg’ Shiraz have been ‘curated’ using premium fruit parcels that are carefully chosen and crafted using a selection of techniques which are both traditional and non-traditional,” Ms Gant said.

The all-inclusive $120 ticket includes wine, Japanese inspired cocktail style menu by Melbourne’s hottest new chefs at Nama Please and live music by Lucy Lorene Duo.

The event still has tickets for sale with Austin’s Wines encouraging those to buy tickets before all are sold out.

The event is set to run from 6-10pm.

Bus transfers will be available to and from the Gold Diggers Arms in Newtown and Geelong Station for an additional $25.
