Australian rockers The Vanns will be rolling into Torquay next month to give fans a taste of their acclaimed “loud and live” show style.

The four-piece from the New South Wales South Coast will be performing at the Torquay Hotel as part of their 21-stop regional tour.

Powered by soaring vocals, shining guitars and crashing loud percussion, The Vanns are sure to get the crowd moving with their charismatic and enigmatic live sound.

The Vanns have found themselves being main stage staples at festivals such as Big Pineapple, Party In The Paddock and Yours & Owls.

Their latest album Last Of Your Kind peaked at number eight on the ARIA Albums Chart, second on the Australian Albums Chart and was also longlisted for the Australian Music Prize.

The album also secured the triple J Feature album spot during release, elevating the four-piece to becoming the 17th most played artist on triple j.

Singles “Making It Out Alive”, “Haunted” and “Ever” have all featured heavily on triple j programming and had crowds rocking out loud at last year’s Splendour in the Grass.

The Vanns lead guitarist Cameron Little said the band couldn’t wait to head to Torquay.

“We’ve done a few shows down there before and are so excited to get back!

“It’s a really cool place to play, and we always like to make sure we include it on our regional tours.

“It’s always a randy one in Torquay. As much as the crowds are told not to hang off the rafters, they still do!

“The last time we toured, the new album wasn’t out, so we are keen to play those new ones for the Torquay crew as well some of our popular earlier ones.

“We can’t to rock out with everyone.”

The Vanns will be joined by The Colliflowers and Joe Mungovan at the Torquay Hotel on March 1.
