SUSTAINABLE House Day (SHD2019) organisers are still checking visitor numbers but are confident it was another record year.
Geelong Sustainability president Vicki Perrett said more than 2,800 people on Sunday visited 15 quality homes and gardens opening across the Bellarine, Surf Coast and Geelong.
“Geelong Sustainability greatly appreciates the generosity of homeowners who happily share their journeys and knowledge.
“This year the event involved 120 volunteers of whom more than 50 were subject experts.”
Ms Perrett said the two homes in Point Lonsdale were the most popular.
“The 8.2-star budget eco home (#13) built by Homes with Integrity in Downton Cresent had 300 visitors and the beautiful Passive House (#12) built Aphi Projects in Patching Street had an incredible 350 visitors.”
Mik Aidt did a Live Facebook video at four houses – #5, #7, #10 and #11.
