Thousands turn out to All Ford Day
THE 33rd annual All Ford Day has been hailed as a great success by the event’s director, as favourable conditions provided the perfect backdrop to one of the region’s biggest motor shows.
Event director Nicholas Heath expressed his gratitude for the turnout from residents and visitors, who all shared in their love for one of Australia’s great automotive brands.
“Given the weather forecast, we anticipated a strong turnout, but the overwhelming support from both spectators and the broader Ford community surpassed our expectations,” Mr Heath said.
“Hosting such a vibrant event was truly exhilarating, and we’re committed to maintaining this momentum in the years to come.”
A full scope of Ford models were on display at Eastern Gardens from the classic Australian Falcon to rare, custom GT40’s at Sunday’s event.
Mr Heath said 7,000 patrons attended the show, pushing an all-time attendance record.
The event also drew car enthusiasts and vehicles from across state lines, including a 1939 Ford Deluxe from Wentworth, New South Wales, and from as far north as Queensland.
More than 300 vehicles underwent intense scrutiny across 37 categories as part of the event’s awards section.
