BRIGHTLY decorated motorbikes of all sizes thundered around the Bellarine Peninsula on Sunday, as more than 1,500 riders came together for the annual Geelong Toy Run.

The annual Toy Run was an excuse for riders to dress up their machines with Christmas decorations, while helping a great cause.

Proving that Santa doesn’t need reindeer to get around in a Geelong summer, the Toy Run harnessed horsepower, along with glistening chrome and kilometres of tinsel, to take the riders from Geelong to Princess Park in Queenscliff.

Nick ‘Tank’ Coleman offers the Christmas Elves a contribution.

Organised by the Harley Owners Group of Geelong (HOGG) the ride raised more than $15,000 for charity as well as collecting Christmas presents to be distributed by local groups.

Riders thanked the community for coming to see the procession pass through the towns along the route, as well as joining in the fun at Princess Park.
