Triathlon swims, cycles and runs into Port

PORTARLINGTON recently hosted Race 5 of the 2XU Triathlon Series, which included an 800-metre swim, 26-kilometre cycle and 8-kilometre run.

Hiraku Fukuoka took out the win in the Female Elite race with a time of 1 hour 26 minutes and 12 seconds, with Emma Hogan in second place and Mary Alex England third.

Marcel Walkington won the Male Elite race with a time of 1 hour, 17 minutes and 33 seconds, followed by Clayton Hutchins in second place and Levi Maxwell in third.

The winner of the Female Junior Elite race was Ebony Francis in a time of 1 hour 21 minutes and 48seconds, followed by second Kodey Hodgson and third Eleanor Karahasan.

And, winner of the Male Junior Elite race was Toby Linnegan with a time of 1 hour, 13 minutes and 45 seconds, with Corey Webster second and Brodie Buerckner in third place.
